About the Author:
Chuck Shields rose in The Walt Disney Company over the course of his 22-year career from Attractions host at Disneyland to Imagineering vice president. After leaving the Disney organization, Chuck was recruited by the Chairman and CEO of Manor Care, Inc. which included 6 health care companies and 2 lodging companies including Choice Hotels International.

As Senior VP of Human Resources and Administration, Chuck lead the organization to being well respected for the quality of their leadership and people focused culture, where he implemented many of the lessons learned at Disney. Today Chuck runs a Talent Management consulting practice where he assists his clients in selecting and developing the "right" people that are aligned with high performance and organizational culture. As an independent Korn Ferry/Hay Associate he uses a combination of his executive experience and Korn Ferry assessments to identify high potentials, assess current leaders, develop customized selection processes, coach and develop tomorrow's leaders, and build people centric service focused cultures. When not traveling on consulting assignments you can often find him on the golf course.
