Ventura, Dec 7, 2019 (Issuewire.com) - Hailing from Newbury Park, California, the emerging teenage rockstars Sik Sik Sicks are bringing back the grunge pop-rock that is arguably sorely missed in today's youth culture.
Inspired by the heavy hitters of the 90's such as Hole, Nirvana, Garbage, No Doubt, and everything in between, 16-year-old singer/songwriter Madeleine "Maddie" Lucas is well beyond her years mixing provocative lyrics with fast, heavy guitar riffs and sweet vocals leaving you wanting more. This boy/girl band is rounded out by the sounds of heavy drums, lead guitar & bass provided by fellow bandmates Jackson Gallo, Julia Dourthe, and Justin McAlister.
Sik Sik Sicks are making their own rules and will most likely break them too. Their penchant for all things dark has been known to have the "push the envelope type" mentality, ignoring all boundaries. Their high energy stage presence makes for a dynamic show full of mystery that is both captivating and intriguing. The grunge pop-rock band are dressed in fashions right from the racks of Industry Horror, a fashion brand and non-profit organization that strives to help both kids and adults with special needs, paired with fishnets and army boots for an overall free-spirited style. This band is ready to rock your Doc Martins off.
Sik Sik Sicks debut EP "Homecoming Whore" is set for release on December 13, 2019, on all major platforms.
Youth Culture now has a new name and it is Sik!
